Expertise

Trevor specialises in the recovery of uninsured losses resulting from aircraft damage by third parties. For the past thirty-six years Trevor worked for British Airways (BA), where he held a number of management positions since 1990. From a start in BA cargo, Trevor spent over twenty years in purchasing in varying capacities. He then moved to BA ground fleet services, establishing and heading the material and logistics team in support of over seven thousand vehicles and items of ground equipment.

Following the sale of BA ground fleet services to Ryder, Trevor moved to BA engineering where he held a range of management positions in the supply chain. In this capacity, one of Trevor’s significant achievements was the establishment and management of the support equipment and asset management team which specified, purchased, and managed all of BA engineering’s ground equipment needs.

In 2003, Trevor was appointed to review BA’s aircraft accident recoveries process and to suggest ways to improve financial returns to the company. As a result of his recommendations all activities were centralised and the number of persons involved was reduced by two thirds. Subsequently, Trevor took control as aircraft accident recoveries manager with worldwide responsibility for the recovery of costs incurred due to third party damage to BA’s aircraft. The sums thus recovered were measured in millions of pounds, hitherto uncollected.

In his last management role at BA, Trevor’s persistence resulted in the establishment of an IATA working party dedicated to improving performance in the recovery of uninsured losses in civil aviation. Trevor was one of the leading members of the working party.
