Aircraft Damage Recoveries
A recent IATA survey estimated that the total cost to carriers of ground damage incidents was in the order of circa US$3 billion per annum. The vast majority of these costs is never recovered! This is partly due to the effort and time required to assess the damage quantitatively and in subsequent discussions with third parties to resolve the inevitable contentious issues. It is also an area of activity that requires unique skills.
We have assembled a first-class team who can :
- Deploy skills and techniques for the identification and recovery of repair costs of damage to aircraft as a result of ground incidents.
- Offer a cost-recovery service which seeks to eliminate additional costs for the client (similar to a “no-win, no fee” proposition). Our aim is to ensure that our service results in minimal cost, or preferably no cost at all, to our clients and that they derive significant recovery of uninsured costs of damage.
- Undertake complete claims management services on behalf of client organisations.
- Ensure effective liaison between client organisation and insurance/underwriting group.
- Provide legal assessment of, and support for, each potential claim. This is an integral element of this service.
- Work to ensure realistic potential for recovery of costs associated with aircraft damage.
